Entrepreneurship First Steps
I went through Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Entrepreneurship First Steps course. This course enables students to learn more about starting a business to kickstart their entrepreneurial dreams!
- From the course, I learned that starting a business is not as easy as it seems and to do so, many kinds of strategies can be emplaced.
- Going for this online course boosted my interest in entrepreneurship, and I want to be able to learn more about how the business world operates.
Carousell
I decided to try out reselling during the circuit breaker period. Thus, I set aside some capital and sourced for items from online platforms like Shoppee and Qoo10, before buying and selling them at a higher price on the Carousell platform.

Starting off by selling in small amounts gives me time to think and observe consumer demands, and I can then apply various business strategies to learn to increase my sales!
Part-time job
I have worked part-time for 6 months at MacDonald's in late 2018.
What I learned:
- Communicating with various types of customers
- I had to learn how to work alongside my colleagues to serve the customers to the best of our ability.
- Being independent and learning how to earn some pocket money for myself.
Leadership
I have always been an active leader. From the feedback given by my peers, I can lead others well and am capable of thinking on my feet.
I love thinking out of the box and can proudly say that I am a good problem solver.
2018 - CCA Committee Member
2019-2020 - Class Committee (Sports representative)
2019 - 2020 CCA Vice-Captain
Through the years, I was given opportunities to lead my class and be part of organizing activities such as the Values-In-Action program.
Being the oldest swimmer in my swim club, I guide younger counterparts. My experience helps them gain insight into what they will go through later on in their lives!
As a leader, I believe I am compassionate and kind and hope they will embody these good values from me.
